The innovative security solution will be presented for the first time at the SharePoint Conference 2014, which will take place in Las Vegas on March 3–6, 2014.
The solution adds Two-Factor Authentication to verify that only approved devices can connect, and to strengthen the authentication process by adding the device as a factor required for accessing SharePoint.
The MobilityShield solution offers Active Directory protection by defining dedicated harmon.ie credentials that are different from the Active Directory credentials. This minimizes damage and risk in case of a stolen or lost device or if the credentials are hacked.
“By teaming up with harmon.ie we can offer the ultimate suite for using SharePoint on mobile devices,” said Guy Eldan, CEO of AGAT Software Solutions, which developed MobilityShield. “The combined solution enables mobile enterprises to safely use SharePoint and connect in a secure way to the corporate network.”
“We are focused on providing the best user experience, allowing our users to collaborate with their colleagues using SharePoint Online or on-premises in a secure way,” said Roy Sheinfeld, co-founder and VP R&D of harmon.ie. “MobilityShield is an excellent solution, allowing users to securely connect to their Cloud and on-premises environments.”
MobilityShield also blocks DoS, DDoS and brute-force attacks that may arise while exposing the Active Directory to mobile connectivity.
The solution is available either on Microsoft TMG or on a dedicated proxy on win or Linux. It integrates with harmon.ie Mobile, which aggregates popular Microsoft document collaboration and social applications into a single screen experience on iOS, Android and BlackBerry 10 platforms.
